CashInOut

Terms of Service

Effective September 24, 2026

This summary is not part of the Terms. If it conflicts with the Terms, the Terms control.

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and the operator of CashInOut (“we,” “us,” “our”). “Service” means CashInOut in every form: the hosted app at fin.sunnymorgan.com, the private browser vault, any browser extension, AI agent link, export, or API, and all related software and content.

By creating an account, signing in, opening a private vault, clicking “I agree,” or otherwise using the Service, you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service. Your electronic acceptance has the same effect as a handwritten signature.

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. If you use the Service for an organization, you accept these Terms for yourself and for that organization.

2. What the Service is, and is not

The Service is a free personal-finance and record-keeping tool. We provide it as a courtesy. It may be experimental, incomplete, or changed at any time.

We are not a bank, lender, money transmitter, broker-dealer, investment adviser, tax preparer, enrolled agent, certified public accountant, attorney, or fiduciary. Your use of the Service does not create any professional, advisory, fiduciary, or confidential relationship between you and us. The Service does not hold, move, or transmit money.

3. No financial, tax, legal, or investment advice

Everything the Service shows you is general information only (“Outputs”). Outputs include categories, tax estimates, tax brackets, write-off and deduction suggestions, Playbook plays and dollar scores, opportunity alerts, credit-card recommendations, offers, point values, investment figures, mileage figures, invoices, and reports.

Outputs can be wrong, incomplete, out of date, or unsuitable for your situation. Tax laws, thresholds, and third-party offers change often. We do not promise that any Output is accurate or current.

Do not rely on any Output to make a financial, tax, legal, or investment decision. Before you act, confirm with a qualified, licensed professional. You alone are responsible for your decisions, your tax returns and filings, your payments, and your compliance with law. We are not responsible for any tax, penalty, interest, assessment, audit, lost deduction, missed opportunity, or other result of your decisions.

4. Your data

You are responsible for all data that you import, enter, or connect (“Your Data”), including its accuracy and legality. You must have the right to use Your Data, including any data about other people.

Keep your own complete, current backups of Your Data. The private browser vault lets you download your complete ledger as a SQLite file. The hosted Service lets you export your transactions as CSV files. Use these features often. Your Data can be lost, corrupted, changed, or deleted, including by software defects, imports, rules, outages, hardware failure, security incidents, or our decision to end the Service. We have no duty to store, preserve, back up, or recover Your Data.

The private browser vault keeps Your Data only in your browser. Your browser, your device, or a settings change can erase it. We do not receive it, and we cannot recover it.

5. Privacy

For the hosted Service, Your Data is stored on our server. Our hosting and network providers (currently Hetzner and Cloudflare) process it to run the Service. We do not sell Your Data or use it for advertising. We access Your Data only to operate, maintain, secure, back up, or repair the Service, or when the law requires it. For the private browser vault, we do not receive Your Data.

6. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the Service, but no system is fully secure. We do not promise that Your Data will be safe from unauthorized access, disclosure, change, or destruction, and we are not liable if any of these occur.

You are responsible for your password, your devices, and all activity under your login. Tell us immediately if you think someone used your login without permission.

7. Third-party services, credentials, and AI agents

The Service can work with third-party services and data, for example Credit Karma, bank and card exports, brokerage files, market and offer feeds, and AI assistants. We do not control them. We are not responsible for their accuracy, availability, security, terms, or actions.

If you give the Service a third-party session token or credential, or connect a browser extension, you do so at your own risk. You are responsible for obeying that third party’s terms.

If you create an AI agent link, you are responsible for every action taken with it and for the agent that you share it with.

8. Acceptable use

Use the Service only for lawful personal or internal business purposes. Do not:

9. Changes, suspension, and termination

We may change, suspend, or stop the Service, or any feature of it, at any time, for any reason, with or without notice. We may suspend or delete any account, login, or data at any time, for any reason, with or without notice. We are not liable to you or anyone else for any of these actions.

You may stop using the Service at any time. Export Your Data before you stop, or before we end the Service.

Sections 3 through 7 and 10 through 16 survive the end of these Terms and of your use of the Service.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE AND ALL OUTPUTS ARE PROVIDED “AS IS,” “AS AVAILABLE,” AND “WITH ALL FAULTS,” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AND QUIET ENJOYMENT, AND ANY WARRANTY FROM COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, THAT ANY CALCULATION OR OUTPUT WILL BE CORRECT, THAT DEFECTS WILL BE FIXED, OR THAT YOUR DATA WILL BE PRESERVED. NO ADVICE OR INFORMATION, ORAL OR WRITTEN, THAT YOU GET FROM US OR FROM THE SERVICE CREATES ANY WARRANTY.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NEITHER WE NOR ANY OF OUR CONTRIBUTORS, FAMILY MEMBERS, AGENTS, SUCCESSORS, OR ASSIGNS (THE “RELEASED PARTIES”) WILL BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES OF ANY KIND THAT ARISE FROM OR RELATE TO THE SERVICE, ANY OUTPUT, YOUR DATA, OR THESE TERMS. THIS INCLUDES DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, AND PUNITIVE DAMAGES; ANY LOSS OF MONEY, PROFITS, REVENUE, SAVINGS, DATA, OR GOODWILL; AND ANY TAX, PENALTY, INTEREST, OR ASSESSMENT. THIS APPLIES UNDER ANY THEORY, INCLUDING CONTRACT, WARRANTY, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STRICT LIABILITY, AND STATUTE, EVEN IF WE WERE TOLD THAT THE DAMAGES WERE POSSIBLE, AND EVEN IF A LIMITED REMEDY FAILS OF ITS ESSENTIAL PURPOSE.

IF A COURT HOLDS ANY RELEASED PARTY LIABLE DESPITE THE PARAGRAPH ABOVE, THE TOTAL LIABILITY OF ALL RELEASED PARTIES TOGETHER, FOR ALL CLAIMS, WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT THAT GAVE RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS (US $50).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limits. In those jurisdictions, the exclusions and limits above apply to the fullest extent that the law allows.

The Service is free because of these limits. They are an essential part of the agreement between you and us.

12. Assumption of risk and release

You use the Service at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release the Released Parties from all claims, demands, and damages, known or unknown, that arise from or relate to the Service, any Output, or Your Data.

If you are a California resident, you waive California Civil Code section 1542, which says: “A general release does not extend to claims that the creditor or releasing party does not know or suspect to exist in his or her favor at the time of executing the release and that, if known by him or her, would have materially affected his or her settlement with the debtor or released party.” You also waive any similar law of any other jurisdiction.

13. Indemnity

You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Released Parties from all claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, that arise from or relate to your use of the Service, Your Data, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or anyone’s rights.

14. Governing law and disputes

The laws of the State of North Carolina govern these Terms and any dispute about the Service, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any claim must be brought only in the state or federal courts located in North Carolina, and you consent to the jurisdiction and venue of those courts.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you must bring any claim only individually, not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective, or representative action. You must bring any claim within one year after it arises, or it is permanently barred.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may change these Terms at any time. The date at the top shows the current version. When we make a material change, the Service will ask you to accept the new Terms before you continue. If you do not accept them, stop using the Service. If you keep using the Service after a change, you accept the changed Terms.

16. General

These Terms are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service, and they replace any earlier agreement. If a court finds any part of these Terms unenforceable, that part will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted, and the rest of these Terms stays in effect. If we do not enforce a part of these Terms, that is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them without notice. These Terms do not create any partnership, agency, employment, or fiduciary relationship. Headings are for convenience only. “Including” means “including without limitation.”
